Interested in developing your leadership potential, serving the DC arts education community, and working with really fun people? Then, run for an AEDC board position!
From September 7-30, 2017, AEDC is accepting nominations for new board members:
- President-elect (3-year term: 1 year as president-elect, then 2 years as president)
- DC Private School Representative (2-year term)
- DC Museum Educator Representative (2-year term)
- 2 At-large Representatives (2-year term, nominees may include: teaching artists, retired art educators, higher education professionals, community education, arts integration, and curriculum development)
Board members participate in two board meetings each month (a two-hour in-person meeting and a one-hour online virtual meeting) and spend approximately 8-10 hours per month on AEDC work, such as: leading working groups, organizing professional development and social events, and engaging with our membership.
Nominees must be members of NAEA associated with the District of Columbia.
Elections will be held in October 2017.
